Dancing- it is a great thing when done right... but when done wrong it can be embarrassing and everyone will remember you. These are some experiences I have had with songs and dances.
>Living in a crazy town in New York, I was the minority. The white girl. Everyone thought I couldn't dance, the typical stereotype. As a result of this, I hardly ever danced. My 6th and 7th grade dances were spent helping run the actual event and watching everyone dance. 8th grade, everything changed. My friends thought it would be funny seeing me dance, so they convinced me to try and dance with them. When I finally gave in and walked on the floor with them everyone was looking at me. After the song ended all I heard was "Damn, white girl can dance."
>[Anthony] a guy I liked my freshman year, called me the last minute and asked me to go to his military ball. I, of course, said yes and had a blast. We danced for a great deal of time. After the dance, his father picked us up and asked me if he did in fact dance. I said yes, and as soon as Anthony got in the car he stated "I danced the Margarita." Though this was an honest mistake, he hadn't realized the difference between the Macarena and Margarita.
>There is always one song you don't know the words to but try to sing it anyways. At my freshman homecoming, I was dancing with a group of friends and kept seeing one guy walk around the floor. After talking to him for a bit I convinced him to dance with me. We danced from 8-12. Almost the whole time! During the song "Smack That" he claimed to know the song, and started singing. He knew about 35 percent of the song. (NOTE! this was when the song first came out and became big) After that I teased him for not knowing that song. Though he got me back when I claimed to know one and messed up almost every other word.
